At Dutch Inn and Suites, we understand that travel plans can change. To ensure a fair and transparent process for our guests, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Standard Reservations:

Guests may cancel their reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time (3:00 PM local time) without incurring a cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in will be subject to a one-night room charge plus applicable taxes.
No-shows will be charged the full cost of the first night’s stay.

2. Non-Refundable Reservations:

Some special rates and promotional bookings may be marked as non-refundable. In such cases, cancellations or modifications will not be eligible for a refund.
If a guest fails to check in, the full stay amount will be charged.

3. Group Bookings (5 or More Rooms):

Group reservations must be canceled at least 14 days before the scheduled arrival date to avoid penalties.
Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in will result in a charge of 50% of the total booking amount.
Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in will result in a charge of 100% of the total booking amount.

4. Special Events & Peak Seasons:

During peak travel periods, holidays, and special events in Orange City, Iowa, a 72-hour cancellation policy may apply.
This will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

5. Early Departures:

Guests who check out earlier than their scheduled departure date may be charged for the full stay, depending on the reservation type and room availability.

6. Modification Policy:

Reservation modifications are subject to availability and any rate differences at the time of the change.
If modifications result in a cancellation of part of the stay, cancellation fees may apply.

7. Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances:

If a guest must cancel due to emergencies such as severe illness, natural disasters, or government-imposed travel restrictions, we encourage direct communication with our front desk team for possible exceptions.
